General Secretary of Bangladesh Athletics Federation and Central Executive Member of Jubo League and Advocate Abdur Rakib Montu, who is hoping for the boat symbol in the upcoming 12th National Assembly Elections in Sylhet 3 Constituency (South Surma-Fenchuganj-Balaganj) said – I am a servant of the people.  I want to spend my life in the service of people.  I tried to get many things I wanted in life, but I think I got what I got, Alhamdulillah.  Now the only aim is to devote oneself to the service of people.  And for this, I have used my youth as one of the means to expect the nomination of Bangladesh Awami League.  If my leader nominates me and I win, I will make Sylhet 3 constituencies the first smart constituencies of Bangladesh.

In response to a question from reporters, he said – I did not fly and sit across Abdur Rakib Montu.  My family is Awami political family.  My elder brother has done a lot of work in the organizational activities of Awami League in Fenchuganj and Sylhet.  Besides, my father is also a freedom fighter.  I have not entered the field to escape through the back door, I have entered the field to fight those who are trying to destroy the ideals of Bangabandhu and present the Bangladesh Awami League as a doomed organization among the common people.  Some opportunistic leaders of the present day – some forcefully elected public representatives who would not hesitate to erase Bangabandhu’s name from this country for their own interests – some people need to give a proper answer.  I am not begging people to vote for me.  I am presenting the development picture of the Prime Minister in front of people.  I am spreading the importance of the current government to the grassroots.  But still, the nefarious circles do not stop.  The posters of the prime minister’s development picture that I put up with Bangabandhu’s picture also did not escape from them.

 Today, October 27, Thursday, he held public meetings in various places of Fenchuganj upazila to present the development picture of Awami League government to the people.

educational institutions of Fenchuganj upazila of Sylhet, Fenchuganj Muhammadia Hifjul Quran Madrasa, visited the various activities of the institution.  Besides, he exchanged views with various members of the madrasa committee and headmasters.

 At this time, the head teacher of the institution, Hafiz Abu Saeed, was present.  Salim, eminent businessman Iqbal Khan, Finance Secretary of Fenchuganj Bazar Banik Samiti Shaheen Ahmed Khan along with Madrasa teachers.

 After the Asr prayer, he exchanged strategies with the madrassa students.

 Later, he became General Secretary of Fenchuganj Upazila Awami League Abdul Bachit Tutul, Vice President Shah Md.  Badrul Islam, Science and Technology Secretary ABM Kibria Moinul, Founder General Secretary of Fenchuganj Upazila Jubo League and Fenchuganj Jubo Sangh President Raju Ahmed Raja, Doctor Zakir Hossain, Master Abdur Rashid (Physical Sir) along with Hazrat Shah Malum.  At the end of his visit to the shrine, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s development activities were presented to the common people in various areas including Maizgaon market.
